Heather received a Diploma in Art Studies at TAFE and later in 1996, combining the jobs of mother of 3 university students, running her home and following her career, she gained a Bachelor of Arts Degree, majoring in Fine Art & English at the University of Western Australia. Heather also lectured in watercolour painting, printmaking and design at Carine College of TAFE. Her work includes painting in most media, printmaking, jewellery design and manufacture, and textile and fabric design. Colour and the subtle effects and textures obtained by overlaying transparent papers and printing inks has been an area of special interest. Alllied to this is the challenge of melding the colour, texture, and form between the disciplines of painting, printmaking, jewellery and textiles.
Heather has held 15 solo exhibitions at leading galleries, has received many awards and her work is keenly collected.
